May 12 2011 Katatonia fans rejoice. You can purchase tickets to see Katatonia playing with Opeth in Romania next month. The band have a few more tour dates in Europe this summer as well.

Katatonia will be touring in just one week! Their tour starts off in Joensuu, Finland and Americans can see them stateside as early as September 8 in Baltimore, MD. Unfortunately, I think I will be well out of San Antonio before they're anywhere close to me but maybe you can go. Check out the rest of the dates!

Not much going on in the world of Katatonia. It seems they played some gigs earlier this Spring and have a few to do later in the year. In the meantime, you could join their message board and chat about the band.

Phew! What a hassle this internet thing has been! I'm sorry about all the down time. My previous host wasn't really what you call quality and all my files and content became unavailable. Unfortunately, it still is. Forunately, I did have some content backed up. Unfortunately some more, it wasn't as recent as I would like. What you see now should be functional and it is the majority of news, members and other content. Any changes in the past 9 months or so have been lost but not permanently. I thank you for your understanding.

If you're looking for some new music from Katatonia, you'll have to wait a while. Currently confessing to writer's block and busy lives, the band has yet to release their eighth album. However, there's still plenty to keep you busy. If you're interested in Death Metal, check out their sideprocject Bloodbath. You can also check out the CD/DVD Live consternation which features performances from 2006's Summerbreeze festival. The Great Cold Distance has also been rereleased with bonus tracks and a second disc for optimal studio experience of the music. Hopefully, as summer winds down, Katatonia will head back to the studio and work on some new music.For news and more, log on to the official Katatonia web site.
